Roubina and Mike’s wedding was an amazing way to end a fantastic 2014 wedding season!

If you’ve never been to an Armenian wedding you need to know they are filled with a lot of love, laughter, dancing and excitement and surrounded by family & friends from early morning until late at night. Now add Greek into the mix and you have a recipe for a very exciting and memorable wedding and this one was no exception. Roubina & Mike are close friends of mine and I was honoured when they hired me to photograph their big day (There is always self-inflicted added stress and pressure when photographing a close friend or relative’s wedding).

Mike got ready at his parents’ house with his family and friends. Roubina got ready at her parent’s home and they were surrounded by friends and family from around the world including her grandmother from Lebanon who she hadn’t seen for years. Although the wedding was planned in a few short months, their wedding day did not lack any of the special touches that make each wedding unique. The ceremony took place at Église Armenienne Sourpe Hagop. Roubina & Mike danced the night away on matching converse sneakers and there was never a dull moment on the dance floor.

I would like to thank the bride and groom for inviting me to capture their special day; it was a privilege for me to be a part of these special moments. I would also like to thank my good friend Stephanie Avakian for helping me photograph this wedding.
